I love Makoto’s music, and the Human Elements album has long been a favorite of mine. Makoto jumps genres on the record in an expert fashion, artfully mixing chillout and drum and bass music. The songs’ soulfulness draws them all together.
Previously you could only get Human Elements on CD and vinyl, but Good Looking is finally wandering into the era of digital music, and releasing the album for download (more on that at Leisure Lab).
While “Time” featuring Cleveland Watkiss is the central single, and one of my favorite drum and bass songs ever, Makoto made a cohesive album with Human Elements, and every song shines. The record is an inspiration for me, and one I think you should check out if you don’t already own it.
